Request for Refund – Severe Malfunction and Unacceptable Model Substitution in devv.ai

Dear devv.ai Support Team,

I’m writing to formally request a refund for the credits and payments I’ve spent on your coding agent. My recent experience has been extremely frustrating, time-consuming, and unproductive due to what appears to be unstable model behavior and unannounced model substitutions under the same “devv.ai” label.

Here’s what happened:

  • Yesterday, I spent over three hours struggling to complete a relatively simple app localization task that your agent kept breaking and rewriting inconsistently. I burned through nearly 5,000 credits trying to fix issues caused by the agent itself — only to watch it complete the same task in five minutes later on, with no errors, using only a fraction of the credits.

  • This suggests that your system silently switched to a different, more capable model — without any indication or control on my side.

  • Today, the situation got worse: the agent completely broke my previously working code, including the files I had explicitly backed up for safety. The replacement model produced incoherent, logically inconsistent outputs and destroyed the progress I had made.

It’s clear that the problem is not with my implementation, but with your backend model handling. The inconsistency between sessions and the sudden performance shifts indicate an internal change of the active model under the same devv.ai label, which is both misleading and unacceptable.

Given the lost time, broken code, and wasted credits, I request:

  1. A full refund of all credits and payments used during these sessions.

  2. An explanation of why model switching occurs without notice or user consent.

  3. A confirmation that the devv.ai agent will provide transparency regarding which model is currently being used.

Please review my chat logs — they clearly show the abrupt shift in the agent’s behavior and output quality.

I expect your response and resolution within a reasonable timeframe.
Thank you.

Sincerely,
Kamoliddin YoFaS
